This project showcases a "Modern Chinoiserie" aesthetic, blending traditional oriental motifs with contemporary comfort. The Tea Room: Intricate Metal & Wood Details

In the private tea room, the furniture takes on a jewelry-like quality. We manufactured the dining chairs with gold-finished metal frames designed to mimic bamboo—a nod to the Chinoiserie style. These are paired with a marble-top table and mint-green cabinetry. The shelving units display our ability to combine metal, glass, and wood into a cohesive, high-end product. The custom joinery here is finished in a high-quality matte lacquer, perfectly matching the wall panels.

The Suites: Serenity in Design

The guest suites in this project were designed to be a retreat. We manufactured bespoke upholstered headboards featuring custom botanical prints that serve as the room's focal point. The bed frames are paired with velvet end-of-bed benches, creating a layered, hotel-luxe feel.

For the in-room lounge areas, we moved away from standard seating. We created custom L-shaped corner sofas wrapped in patterned fabrics that complement the wall treatments. The color palette—soft sage greens, mauves, and creams—required precise fabric sourcing, which is a core strength of the EKAR FURNITURE team.

Dining & Social Spaces: A Masterclass in Millwork

The public spaces are where our wall cladding and woodwork capabilities truly shine.
In the dining hall, we installed floor-to-ceiling green wood paneling. The standout feature here is the integration of art into the joinery. We framed large-scale hand-painted murals (depicting peacocks and willow trees) directly into the wall panels.

The booth seating is custom-built to fit the architectural curves of the room, upholstered in premium velvet to ensure durability in a high-traffic environment. We paired these with floral-print dining chairs and solid wood tables with brass accents, creating a vibrant yet elegant dining experience.

The Grand Lobby: First Impressions Matter

Entering the main lobby, the scale changes. EKAR FURNITURE supplied the loose furniture for this vast atrium. Against the backdrop of stone columns and marble floors, our velvet armchairs and sofas provide a soft, welcoming contrast.
